DRAG CAR DAMAGED DURING TESTING | 09.08.07

Went testing on Monday the 30th of July. Just did one sixty foot first and did a personal best of 1.30 seconds on the new Toyo drag tyres. Then on the next run, the clutch exploded and went through the firewall from the engine bay side and also through the floor between my legs. The bell housing was completely missing and the gearbox was only an inch off the floor. The clutch plate ripped though the additional fuel rail on the plenum, so methanol started pumping out everywhere, luckily though another part of the clutch smashed through the fuel pump relays and cut the power to them, so no fire! The Downpipe is wrecked; it also ripped the brake master cylinder in half. One of the tyres is cut to pieces, and lots of other random bits, wiring etc has been wrecked, so much damage! One of the Santa Pod guys said that some of the clutch pieces were dug 4 inches into the floor!!

NEW DRAG CAR FIRST RUN! | 02.07.2007

First event with our new drag car took place at Japshow, we only managed to register a sixty foot time of 1.32 because after that point in the run the carnk angle sensor got damaged and without a spare the weekend was over. Although on sunday (race day) the rain came down, so we could not have run anyway. We have subseqently ordered a replacemnet form Andy Frost who was very quick, thanks Andy  http://www.redvictor1racing.co.uk/
