Japfest is Europe's largest Japanese modified car show, and this year it returned to Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire.
Thousands of cars were at the show through a huge variety of car clubs, plus all-day track time for those keen to experience the famous circuit for themselves. With over 15,000 fans, car clubs and drivers in place this show was awesome.
We were very pleased to be invited to be part of the Drift display. We also had our RB26 R34 GTR fronted Stagea on the Tougue Heroes stand and our Drift and circuit cars were on Opie Oils stand.
Please check out the You Tube vids of the Drift car in action, turn the volume up loud!
Round 1 JDM All-stars Newcastle! | 07.04.09
We entered our first drift event of the year with our driver Martin Ffrench. The event took place in Newcastle, and was a great event, very raw and true to the spirit of drifting, great competitors, and good atmosphere. Thanks to JDM for organizing the event. http://www.jdmallstars.com/ Also thanks to our new sponsors Tougue heroes! http://www.tougeheroes.com/
The car was very fast and doing very well, it ran without fault, then in the semis we ran out of fuel and gifted the win to Dan Chapman!! I put 60 liters in and somehow we had used it all! Gutted!
In the battles we just dominated the competition with speed and Ffrenchys awesome driving, very enthused to get back out there.
I only want to do 2 things to the car, just give it more power and more grip, good-luck to the competition!!!
DRAGON GO DRIFTING IN WEMBLEY STADIUM, RACE OF CHAMPIONS! | 13.01.09
The Dragon Drift car was invited to drift around the Race of champions track inside Wembley stadium! Yes where the English football team plays football on a grass pitch in front of 90,000 people. But this year it has been turned into a race track where the best drivers from F1, Rally, etc, will battle it out to see who is the best driver on the planet on a level playing field.
This was an Awesome opportunity for Martin French our Pro Drift driver to test what is now a very sorted car, he jumped straight in and was going sideways straight away, its very tight track but Martin tamed the 500hp and was going round the track quicker than some of the Grip cars!
Video to follow soon…..
DRAGON IN SINGAPORE | 13.01.09

DRAG CAR DAMAGED DURING TESTING | 09.08.07
Went testing on Monday the 30th of July. Just did one sixty foot first and did a personal best of 1.30 seconds on the new Toyo drag tyres. Then on the next run, the clutch exploded and went through the firewall from the engine bay side and also through the floor between my legs. The bell housing was completely missing and the gearbox was only an inch off the floor. The clutch plate ripped though the additional fuel rail on the plenum, so methanol started pumping out everywhere, luckily though another part of the clutch smashed through the fuel pump relays and cut the power to them, so no fire! The Downpipe is wrecked; it also ripped the brake master cylinder in half. One of the tyres is cut to pieces, and lots of other random bits, wiring etc has been wrecked, so much damage! One of the Santa Pod guys said that some of the clutch pieces were dug 4 inches into the floor!!
First event with our new drag car took place at Japshow, we only managed to register a sixty foot time of 1.32 because after that point in the run the carnk angle sensor got damaged and without a spare the weekend was over. Although on sunday (race day) the rain came down, so we could not have run anyway. We have subseqently ordered a replacemnet form Andy Frost who was very quick, thanks Andy http://www.redvictor1racing.co.uk/
